General Instructions
EconWork is your interactive and self-paced learning platform designed to make the subject of economics interesting, practical, and easy to understand. In this course, Employment in India, you will learn how people work, how jobs are distributed, and how India’s workforce is changing in today’s economy.
You will study four main lessons titled Work and Workforce, Distribution of Employment, Employment Growth and Informalisation in India, and Unemployment. Each lesson has four well-organised stages that guide you step by step through meaningful and enjoyable learning activities.
At the beginning of every stage, your virtual teacher Mrs. Meera will appear to explain what is coming next, describe the purpose of the activities, and encourage you to learn actively, just like in a real classroom. After her introduction, you will see clear instructions that will help you complete each activity on your own.
When you finish an activity, click on Mark as Done. Once you do this, the activity will turn green in your course navigation panel and progress tracker. This shows that you have successfully completed it and are ready to continue to the next stage.
Throughout the course, you will take part in interesting videos, quizzes, games, estimation exercises, and reflection activities that connect classroom ideas with real life employment situations in India. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of how employment works, what challenges workers face, and how India can strengthen its human capital for the future.
EconWork gives you the feeling of a real classroom while allowing you to learn comfortably at your own pace. Get ready to explore, think, and grow with Mrs. Meera as your friendly virtual teacher in discovering the world of Employment in India.
